Boom2:Volume Boost & Equalizer App Reviews

The app fills the void of the volume on my 2010 MacAir not being loud enough. I like the equalizer too as it gives the sound extra depth tailored to my tastes. I would say it is one of the few apps that I whole heartedly recommend as a must have app.

Having multiple headphones, headsets, and earbuds that I use daily, there is no competitor to what this app can do to enhance the experience of listening to absolutely anything. Parrot zik’s app is very hard to compete with and their proprietary systems work with a $400 set of over-the-ear headphones along with a mobile application that allows you change the direction of the sound, the equalizer to match the genre of music and/or phone calls/conference calls, etc. THIS APPLICATION TURNS ANY HEADSET INTO WHAT WOULD EQUATE TO A $400 SET OF EARS AND IS WORTH EVERY PENNY. **THE FINE PRINT: It does not automatically transform sound to blow your mind. You DO need to learn a little bit about how to use an equalizer, and ambiance, direction and what the size of a space may do to a sound…knowing the pros and cons of ‘for example’- opening up the space versus closing it down to a very small space compared to a concert hall. *****Once you’ve played with it while listening to your playlist a couple times, you’ll find awesome new ways to listen to things that you would have never even known about without this app. Hard to put into words how the sound of a song can sound so much more enjoyable.

I bought Boom 2, hoping to further improve the sound on my iMac, but as soon as I installed it, Boom 2 muted the Macs sound! I am a poweruser and have been using Macs for 20 years, yet I could not get it to work with iTunes. I was only able to get sound out of iTunes again by uninstalling Boom 2—which was not a straight-forward process either. Boom 2 is very un-Mac-like. It is difficult to use, impossible to understand and most certainly does not do what it claims. It does not “just work.” If you want better sound out of your Mac, I highly recommend you look elsewhere and not waste your money on this app like I did.

Yes, i bought it, but i haven’t installed it for one reason. Boom is next to impossible to uninstall. It wouldn’t load because i had an older version installed. Tried for hours to work around. Finally found (through a tech savvy friend) a way to get the old off my computer after hours of trial and frustration. it is as if this company wants to lock you into it, even if your previous version WON’T work and WON’T uninstall. I decided to live without it even though i’ve paid for it.

Boom is the missing piece. Without investing in a serious preamp or mixing tools, this app basically fills in that gap. Missing one star until they fix the feedback issue with FaceTime.

Boom 2 is as essential as any stock programs or any audio enhancing programs for that matter. It’s a complete game changer when it comes to listening to anything on your Mac. Oh and trust me , I know you’re looking at the price and thinking,”hmmm,I don’t know..?” well I here to tell you it’s worth every penny.

Boom 2 is one of the best app I’ve downloaded. Boom 2 truely is The Best Audio Enhancement App. I love that I can control the settings from my Boom 2 remote specailly designed for my smartphone. I am very satisfired with Boom 2. I recommend you giving Boom 2 and Boom 2 Remote for smartphones a fair trial. I am sure once you try Boom 2, you will want to expore all the features Boom 2 has to offer. I give you my word! Install it now.

My headphones and mac speakers were okay but I felt like I wasn’t getting the full efeect of the music I was listeneing to. I decided to get the online free trial for one week and when the week was over I realized how incredible Boom really is and I had to buy it. I have Bose headphones which are good but Boom just gives it that extra hit. Totally worth the buy. Never going back. If you were to spend money on an app with would be this one
